Consultant Background: I was born and grew up on the South Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. After finishing school and completing my military service I moved to Durban, the holiday city of sun, sand and surf and the home of the Natal Sharks rugby team. A few months later I met “the wife of my youth,” the beautiful Belinda Clark. We were married in 1989 and have now been married for 21 years. We are blessed with two wonderful sons, Matt & Andrew, who have grown into fine young men of which their parents are most proud.
Education and experience:
I began my career in the Life Insurance industry when I was recruited by Liberty Life in 1993. I obtained my Insurance Qualification through Liberty Life and my years with the company were a great training ground for a career in the industry. I later left Liberty Life to practise as an independent insurance consultant and Belinda & I went on to own and operate our own independent insurance brokerage.
About me:
On Valentine’s Day of 2003 my family and I arrived in the land of the mighty All Blacks and settled in the City of Christchurch, our new home. Belinda’s great grandfather hailed from Arrowtown and moved to South Africa after serving with the New Zealand forces in the Anglo Boer War and it has been great to meet and catch up with Belinda’s long lost relatives who still live in the Queenstown/Arrowtown region.
What is different about me?I have continued to operate as a Life Insurance Consultant since arriving in New Zealand and joined Christchurch Insurance Centre in 2009. I am very happy to be associated with the company as it provides a professional and friendly environment and prides itself on business ethics and best advice to clients.
